Glass, white oak, blackened steel, and stone are used with unusual discipline, creating rooms that feel expansive, grounded, and deeply connected to their setting
ENTRY
A dramatic arrival shaped by landscape, light, and steel.
Guests arrive through a private courtyard beneath the canopy of an Atlas cedar rising through hundreds of fragrant Sarcococca. Overhead, 20 linear feet of blackened steel canopy and architectural fins cast shifting light and shadow across striking Lion's Head Japanese maples.
Beyond the Olson Kundig pivot door and foyer, the architecture establishes a deliberate tension between compression and release, opening into a 70-foot gallery framed by lake, mountains, and sky.
Interiors by Ted Tuttle
The welcoming palette of clear grain white oak, blackened steel, stone, and glass create an experience that feels warm, exacting, and enduring.
Custom cabinetry, concealed systems, and integrated details give the house a strong sense of purpose, while floor-to-ceiling glass keeps water, sky, and garden present throughout. Designed to feel generous when filled with friends and comfortable in daily life, the interiors balance intimacy with openness. The result is refined, livable, and quietly assured.
Living Room & Library
The living room is anchored by a seven-foot custom fireplace and a fifteen-foot blackened steel hearth, designed to expand seating capacity while bringing warmth and focus to the center of the home.
The adjoining blackened steel library extends the same language of precision and warmth through finely detailed floor-to-ceiling panels and shelving.
Kitchen & Dining
The kitchen carries the same clarity as the rest of the house. It is highly functional, materially exact, and open to the surrounding entertaining areas.
Integrated Miele appliances include an 8-burner professional range, dual steam ovens, a warming drawer, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, and under counter wine storage. Italian Lapitec Bianco surfaces give the room a sculpted presence, while custom clear grain white oak cabinetry brings warmth and continuity.
A large island with seating for six forms the center of the space. Dining areas are arranged for both daily use and larger gatherings, with seating for 22 across the main dining room, island, and outdoor dining terrace. The visual connection to the outdoors keeps water, light, and sky present throughout.
Media RoomS & Office
Two media rooms, one on the main level and one above, give the house flexibility for gathering, retreat, or extended guest use.
Reached by a custom blackened steel stair, the upper media room also functions as a private guest suite, complete with an en suite bath and an integrated office finished in clear grain white oak cabinetry. Together, these spaces allow the house to expand gracefully across generations.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
Four bedrooms are designed as private retreats, where light and landscape create a deep sense of calm.
Vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling Fleetwood windows draw in the landscape and heighten the sense of stillness. Concealed ceiling-mounted privacy and blackout blinds preserve the architectural clarity of each space.
Each bedroom features an en suite bath with custom clear grain white oak cabinetry, Italian Lapitec Bianco surfaces, heated floors, and Dornbracht fixtures.
